I have a Biology class of mostly rural, low-achieving students completing GED's in vocational studies. I wanted to find ways to make learning Biology relevant to vocational studies (mechanics, building trades, wood work, welding, etc.). I am looking for other science teachers / scientists to help give me ideas on a "lab" that will provide students examples of biology in the real world. Please let me know if you have any ideas! I am hoping this will provide some motivation for my students in the classroom.
